CMS Athletics ranked 11th in second fall Director's Cup standings
The second set of fall standings for the 2013-14 Learfield Sports Director's Cup Division III standings were released Thursday and CMS is ranked 11th with 191.5 points, eight spots better than the second fall rankings of 2012-13. CMS is tops among SCIAC and West Coast schools.
In these latest rankings, CMS earned 25 points from women's soccer (t33rd). Three sports scored points in the first set of rankings including women's cross country (14th - 61.5 pts.), volleyball (t17th - 50 pts.) and men's cross country (19th - 55 pts.).
The Director’s Cup competition is now in its 19th
year. The competition awards points based on a team's finish
at the NCAA Championships. CMS has been the top finishing
SCIAC representative in 13 of its first 18 years and also finished
in the top 60 overall 16 times. The 2012-13 school year was
the tenth top-30 finish for the program as CMS finished in a
program-best 13th place.
The final fall standings, which will include football and men's water polo, will be released on December 24.
