Since opening the season at Point Loma Nazarene University, Max Rose, (Jr, San Luis Obispo) been on a tear at the plate for the CMS Stags. When the Stags’ ace is not on the mound, Rose plays right field and bats in the five spot. Rose has cleaned up the basepaths all year, driving in 30 runs in just thirteen games. Along with this impressive feat, Rose has also tallied a .545 batting average, 4 home runs, and an .886 slugging percentage. Rose has also dealt from the mound for the Stags. The 6’4” righty is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA including 21 strikeouts in 26 innings.
Rose most recently helped the Stags win the series against Whittier College. In the three game set, Rose went 10-15 with 10 RBI and 1 HR. The home run was a soaring shot that landed in the tennis courts far beyond right field at the Whittier College Campus. Rose pitched the second game of the series, exiting in the 7th Inning, with the Stags leading 4-2. Expect much more to come from Rose this year.
