Alex Sunderland was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 38th round of the Major League Baseball draft. The 6-3 right-handed pitcher was the 1143rd player selected in the annual MLB first-year player draft.

Stags Go 1-3 During Four Game Weekend
The CMS baseball team struggled to put all the pieces together this past weekend and was only able to win of the four games they played. The win was an exciting 16-15 game that went extra innings.

CMS Finishes 1-2 In First SCIAC Series
The Stags opened up conference play with a three game series against the Redlands Bulldogs. Although the bats struggled early, the offense woke up enough to salvage one of the three games behind a strong outing by junior David Ulrich.

CMS Falls To The Master's Despite Strong Pitching
In their road opener, the CMS baseball team (0-2) suffered a 6-2 defeat at the hands of The Master’s College (5-2). The pitching staff no-hit the Mustangs for five innings and only allowed two earned runs, but four unearned runs led to the loss.

2011 Season Preview
Coming off a 21-win campaign in 2010, the Stags are looking to make a run at a SCIAC title this season. With the changes in bat regulations and the loss of some power at the top of the lineup, CMS will look to play a new brand of baseball.

Stags Fall To Cougars In Opener
CMS (0-1) fell behind early to Azusa Pacific University (3-0) in their season opener at Arce Field on Tuesday. They couldn’t pull back into this one and fell to the Cougars 5-0.
