In a pair of wins by CMS as part of the annual David Wells Classic, Gaffaney averaged 21.5 points, six rebounds and 3.5 steals. He connected on 13-of-23 shooting from the field, 4-of-7 shooting from the three-point line and 13-of-15 shooting from the free-throw line.

Ducey honored, Stags clinch SCIAC championship with win over Redlands
After a ceremony honoring the legacy of Ted Ducey, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team beat Redlands 74-63 to clinch the conference title in the final regular season game played in Ducey Gym. The fact that Ted Ducey’s son, Jim Ducey, is the Redlands’ Head Coach made it a special evening for all. The Stags are now 13-1 in SCIAC and secured the regular season championship despite having two more games on the schedule.

Stags Finish Preseason 11-0 And Ranked 19th
The men’s basketball team concluded their preseason schedule on Monday with a 74-55 win over Mount Saint Mary and improved to 11-0 matching the best start in school history. The Stags are one of only six teams in Division III that remain undefeated and improved two spots to 19th in the latest D3hoops.com national poll which was released today.

CMS To Host SCIAC Tournament Semifinal
CMS (15-9, 11-3) will host the University of La Verne (13-12, 8-6) in a semifinal game of the SCIAC Men’s Basketball Tournament on Friday, February 25 at 7:30. As per SCIAC policy, there is a $5 admission fee for the game. SCIAC students, faculty and staff are free with proper ID as are children 12 and under.

Stags SCIAC Co-Champs After Win Over Cross-Street Rivals
The men’s basketball traveled across Sixth Street to take on their cross-campus rivals, Pomona-Pitzer, on Tuesday in the last game of the SCIAC regular season and came away with a 59-44 victory. The win earned them a share of the SCIAC title. This is the CMS’ third straight title marking the first time that CMS has won three straight basketball crowns.

CMS Beats Occidental In SCIAC Opener
CMS opened their defense of the last two SCIAC titles with a 57-50 home win over Occidental on Saturday. The win was a total team effort as nine players played at least 10 minutes with all nine scoring. Eight of the nine scored at least five points and no player scored more than nine. The win was the team’s third straight.

All About Stag Center Patrick Lacey
Patrick Lacey is a key player on the CMS Men’s Basketball Team. Originally from Sacramento, he transferred to CMC from the University of San Diego after his sophomore year and enrolled in the 4+1 MBA Program. After completing his undergraduate studies at CMC last May with a degree in Economics, he is now finishing the fifth year of the program at CGU.

CMS beat Azusa Pacific, the #1 team in the NAIA, 81-79 on Tuesday. The Stags ended the Cougars 42-game winning streak against Division III teams that began after CMS' last win over Azusa Pacific in 1990.

After a 76-67 defeat of George Fox on Friday, the CMS men's basketball team fell 94-86 to Willamette on Saturday night. In each game the Stags fell behind early. On Friday night they were able to rally for the win, but on Saturday the Bearcats were able to hold off the rally.

Levi Sieg To Join Stag Basketball Staff
Levi Sieg is returning for his second stint with Coach Scalmanini as an Assistant Coach for the Stag basketball program. Levi came to Claremont in 1996 from Monmouth, Oregon where he attended CMC and played basketball for the Stags from 1996-2000. He graduated from CMC in 2000 with a degree in Economics.
