The CMS Men's Golf team currently claims the two top DIII players in the country according to golfstat.com. Sophomore Tain Lee (San Juan Capistrano [pictured-left]), who held the #1 spot for a time last season, has reclaimed the top ranking on the heels of a blistering victory at the CMS Invitational. Lee's 69.20 scoring average leads the nation by a considerable margin. He also ranks fourth in Greens in Regulation (.744), fourth in Par-3 Scoring (2.85), sixth in Par-4 Scoring (3.92), and 11th in Total Short Game (.636).
Senior captain John Morris (Santa Rosa [pictured-right]) is averaging 72.60 up to this point in the season, good enough for a #2 ranking right behind Lee. He ranks sixth in Greens in Regulation (.733), 12th in Total Short Game (.632), and 22nd in Fairways Hit (.671).
While it is still early in the season, Lee and Morris believe that they can continue the strong play that has propelled them to such high standing, and hopefully lead the Stags to their first SCIAC title since 1995. The complete rankings can be found at golfstat.com following this link:
