CMS will participate in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships for the third straight season after winning their third straight SCIAC Tournament title. The Stags (13-5-2) will take on the Panthers of Chapman University (11-4-3) at 7:30 pm on Saturday, November 12 at Redlands. The winner will take on the winner of the Pacific Lutheran University @ University of Redlands match on Sunday at 5:00 pm. Per NCAA policy, admission will be charged: $6 for general admission, $3 for students/senior citizens, $2 for children (age 2-12).
The Stags won the SCIAC Tournament title for the third straight year by prevailing over Redlands 4-2 in a penalty kick shootout. The team tied 1-1 after 90 minutes of regulation and 20 minutes of overtime. Chapman earned a Pool C bid to the NCAA tournament. The Panthers are 2-1 against tournament teams including a 1-0 overtime win at Redlands. CMS and Chapman did not play this season.
