Four Stags named to All-SCIAC Soccer Team; Crowley Newcomer of the Year

PASADENA, Calif. - After winning the SCIAC title with a 12-3-1 record, four Claremont-Mudd-Scripps players were named to the Men's Soccer All-SCIAC teams, the conference announced Nov. 12 including three on the First Team and the Newcomer of the Year.

Freshman midfielder Michael Crowley earned Newcomer of the Year honors and First Team All-SCIAC honors after leading the conference in assists with nine.  Crowley also had three goals for the Stags.

Junior defender Jaison Kimura and sophomore forward Hogan Marhoefer also earned First Team All-SCIAC honors.  Kimura helped anchor a defense that allowed a SCIAC-low 13 goals on the season.  He also was the team's designated penalty kick taker and scored two goals from the spot.  Marhoefer led the team and was third in the conference with 11 goals on the season, three of which were game winners.

Freshman defender Elijah Lichtenberg earned Second Team All-SCIAC honors.  He scored three goals on the season and helped anchor the Stags back line.
