Stags Lead After Two Days At SCIAC Championships

The Stags are in first place after the second of three days at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships.  CMS has 612 points, 96 points ahead of second place Redlands.

CMS has won four of 14 events completed.  The 400 Medley Relay of Blake Weber, Vincent Pai, Jordan Lieberman and Devin Bowers and the 200 Medley Relay team of Austin Hallett, Pai, Lieberman and Sean Fitzgerald both set CMS and SCIAC records with times of 3:23.68 and 1:32.73 respectively.  Vincent Pai won the 100 Breaststroke and Andrew Fevery repeated as 3 Meter Diving champion.

CMS finished second in six of the 14 events including Fevery in 1 Meter Diving, Nick Ostreim in the 500 Free, Weber in the 200 Individual Medley, Brendan Huss in the 100 Fly, the 200 Free Relay team of Fitzgerald, Hallett, Jeff McNerney and Bowers and the 800 Free Relay team of Weber, McNerney, Hallett and Bowers.

Weber achieved the team's one NCAA 'A' qualifying time in the 200 IM.  NCAA 'B' qualifying times were achieved by Hallett in the 200 IM and 100 Back, Pai in the 200 IM and 100 Breast, Lieberman in the 100 Fly and 100 Back, Fitzgerald in the 50 Free, Fevery in 3M Diving, Weber in the 100 Back, Ostreim in the 100 Back and by the 200 Medley, 400 Medley and 800 Free Relays.
