Stags Defeat Oxy To Take 3rd at SCIACs

The CMS Stags Tennis Team closed out their dual match schedule today with a 7-0 victory over Occidental to finish 3rd in the SCIAC tournament. The Stags swept the doubles to cap off a 27-3 conference doubles record as a team. Number three doubles team Eric Chow and Jason Evans moved to 21-4 on the season, and enter the Ojai tournament this week with the third best season winning percentage in CMS history. In the singles, Freshman Ben Hough won for the eighth time in his last nine dual matches with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #6 singles to pace the Stags. As part of the conference tournament awards, Sophomores Eric Chow, William Ellison, and David Oehm were all named to the All-SCIAC team, with Chow and Ellison named to the first team and Oehm to the second team. All three players have earned All-SCIAC honors in their first two seasons. The Stags complete their dual match schedule with a 15-13 record, and 7-3 in SCIAC.
