The Biszantz Family Tennis Center at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges served as host site for a USTA / ITA One Day Campus Showdown Saturday, October 8, featuring a compass draw of 24 male collegiate, junior, and open players.
CMS was the first collegiate tennis program to host a Campus Showdown in March of 2008. Saturday's was the fifth event of its kind that CMS has organized.
Event details:
Men's Singles - every player gets four (4) sets of tennis; open to any male junior, collegiate, or open player.
Draw Size: 32 - limited to the first 32 entered and paid before the entry deadline
Entry Fee: $15
Entry Deadline: Thursday, Oct 6 at 11:59 PM
Play Begins: 11:00 AM sharp (Player meeting at 10:55 AM)

* One Day Campus Showdowns are a joint USTA / ITA program designed
to bring together junior, collegiate, and open players for
competition on college campuses.
* Compass draw format with 1st round winners and 1st round losers
separated and then playing out in their sections.
* This is an unattached, individual, open event that does not
count against a student-athlete's or team's dates of
competition
* No coaching allowed
* No umpires, no prizes, and no declared winner
