CMS opened their SCIAC schedule on Wednesday and came away with a 13-8 win at Chapman. The Stags jumped on the Panthers early, opening the game with three goals in the first four minutes. CMS never led by less than two goals for the remainder of the game and led by as many as seven (10-3) late in the third quarter. After Chapman cut the lead to four in the fourth quarter, Brian Baier (pictured) and John Holland scored back-to-back goals to put the game out of reach. Four Stags, Baier, Huston Middlesworth, Greg Mann and Maarten Lefor, scored two goals each in the win.
The Stags will be back in action this weekend at home as they co-host the Gary Troyer Tournament. CMS will face four quality opponents including Loyola Marymount, Johns Hopkins, George Washington and Harvard.
