Greg Lonzo enters his 10th season at the helm of the Men's and Women's Water Polo programs in the 2016-17 season. The Stags have earned three SCIAC championships during that time in 2010, 2012 and 2015. In the 2015 season, the Stags were a perfect 11-0 in SCIAC, sweeping through the regular season and the SCIAC Championships to earn a berth to the first NCAA tournament for water polo.
Lonzo is a 2002 graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Administration. He was a four-year varsity player and is the career leader in goals scored at Pepperdine. He was a three-time All-American and runner-up for National Player of the Year in 2002. He is excited for the opportunity to coach at a college level and for the challenges of recruiting, developing student-athletes, and representing the Colleges in the community. Lonzo has previously served as the Head Coach at the Riverside Water Polo Club coaching both an 18-under and a 16-under team. He also served two years as an assistant coach at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. He worked in over 20 water polo camps representing Pepperdine.
