Annie Perizzolo won the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Division III Championships this evening with a CMS and SCIAC record time of 2:14.83. Perizzolo is the first Athena to win two national swimming titles after winning the 100 breast last night. She had the fastest time in the morning prelims (2:17.84) and then dominated the field in the final winning by 3.34 seconds. She finished second in this event the last two years.
Earlier in the session, Tessa Dover finished sixth in the 200 backstroke and earned All-American honors by finishing in the top eight. She swam 2:02.93 in the final after breaking her own CMS and SCIAC records in the prelims with a time of 2:02.10.
CMS finished the meet with 177 points and fifth place, their highest ever team finish. This was the fifth straight top 15 finish for the Athenas and seventh in the last nine years.
