Athenas 6th, Stags 15th After Two Days At NCAA Championships

After two of four days at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Knoxville, TN, the CMS swim teams are well positioned.  The Athenas are tied for sixth with 108 points and the Stags are 15th with 28 points.

The Athenas have had all three of their relays earn All-American honors by finishing in the top eight.  The 200 medley relay team of Elsa Cheng, Emma Jones, Katie Bilotti and Helen Liu finished fourth.  The 400 medley relay team of Tessa Dover, Jones, Bilotti and Michele Kee finished fifth.  The 200 free relay team of Kee, Katie Howard, Bilotti and Liu finished eighth.  Bilotti and Kee also earned individual All-American honors by finishing fourth and sixth respectively in the 100 butterfly.

The Stags have earned Honorable Mention All-American honors with both of their medley relays by finishing between ninth and 16th.  Their 400 medley relay of Blake Weber, Vincent Pai, Jordan Lieberman and Devin Bowers finished 12th and their 200 medley relay of Austin Hallett, Pai, Lieberman and Sean Fitzgerald finished 14th.  Weber earned Honorable Mention All-American honors by finishing 10th in the 200 individual medley as did Lieberman by finishing 12th in the 100 butterfly.  The 400 medley relay time of 3:22.06 set the CMS record and Weber set the CMS record in the 100 backstroke leading off the relay.
