CMS Ranked Fifth In Nation

The CMS Athena Swimming and Diving team earned a fifth place ranking in the first College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) NCAA D-III dual meet poll of the 2010-11 season.  Rankings are formed by votes from member institutions.

CMS has just one meet under its belt, with the Athenas falling to the third ranked NCAA Division II UC-San Diego Tritons on October 30.  CMS posted several highly ranked times during the dual meet, including impressive performances in the 200 yard medley relay and 400 yard freestyle relay, which gained national attention.

The Stags landed just outside of the top 25, notching 26th place in the initial poll.  Both Stags and Athenas will be back in action at the Redlands Pentathlon on Saturday.  Competition begins at 9:00 a.m.
