LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2013 AVCA Division III All-Region Teams and Region Coaches of the Year today.  Megan Coleman was named to the All-West Region team at libero and Kurt Vlasich was named the West Region Coach of the Year.

Coleman, who also earned First Team All-SCIAC honors at libero, averaged 5.75 digs per set to rank 15th nationally.  She has 20 or more digs in 13 matches including three matches with 30 or more and a high of 40.

Vlasich led his 23rd-ranked Athenas squad (24-6) to their fifth NCAA Tournament in program history.  CMS has been ranked in the top-25 of the AVCA Coaches Poll in every week since the preseason poll was released in August.  They began the season with a nine-match winning streak and also had a 10-match winning streak later in the season.  The team is fifth nationally in assists per set (13.01) and 11th in kills per set (13.76).
