Allison Rigby is the wonderful little sister of the infamous Julia Rigby, who set made a great impact (primarily on their kale eating habits) on the CMS cross-country team from 2008-2012. Following in the footsteps of her sister, Allie is enamored of goats. She worked on a goat farm this summer in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Gold country. "We had 101 goats. An average-sized goat weighs 40 pounds. I lifted 101 40-pound goats a day. I got in my strength work." Why goats? "Each is different...they have so much personality..." Allie is a senior at Scripps, where she studies environmental analysis and art history. She has a giant poster of Julia Rigby on her wall. Allie enjoys cooking with dough and whatever's in the backyard. Fig-blue cheese pizza...Swiss chard pesto...apple crisp with a caramelized crust... Allie spent this summer running to 'White Nights' by Oh Land, 'From Afar' by Foy Vance and 'Stubborn Love' by The Lumineers. Her 5k P.R. is 18:56, and her dream run is on a skinny forest trail. "I like sunlight dappling but I prefer an oncoming storm."
