  • Lacey And Anderson Earn All-SCIAC Honors

    The men's basketball All-SCIAC team was announced today and two Stags were selected to the team. Patrick Lacey earned First Team honors and Joey Anderson earned Second Team honors.
  • CMS To Host SCIAC Tournament Semifinal

    CMS (15-9, 11-3) will host the University of La Verne (13-12, 8-6) in a semifinal game of the SCIAC Men’s Basketball Tournament on Friday, February 25 at 7:30. As per SCIAC policy, there is a $5 admission fee for the game. SCIAC students, faculty and staff are free with proper ID as are children 12 and under.
  • Stags SCIAC Co-Champs After Win Over Cross-Street Rivals

    The men’s basketball traveled across Sixth Street to take on their cross-campus rivals, Pomona-Pitzer, on Tuesday in the last game of the SCIAC regular season and came away with a 59-44 victory. The win earned them a share of the SCIAC title. This is the CMS’ third straight title marking the first time that CMS has won three straight basketball crowns.
  • Stags Remain In First After Win Over Leopards

    CMS beat La Verne 56-48 at home on Saturday night to stay on top of the SCIAC standings with a 9-2 record. The Stags are again alone in first as Redlands, who CMS will travel to play on Saturday, lost at Cal Lutheran. CMS improved to 13-8 overall while La Verne fell to 12-10.
  • CMS Stays On Top Of SCIAC With Win

    The CMS Stags defeated the California Lutheran Kingsmen 57-47 at Ducey Gym on Wednesday. The win improved the Stags' record to 12-8 overall while keeping them on top of the SCIAC with an 8-2 record.
  • Late Run Propels Stags To Win Over Poets

    CMS used a 22-9 run over the last five minutes to erase a five point deficit and beat Whittier 73-65 on Wednesday night. The Stags improved to 11-7 and 7-1 (1st) in SCIAC while the Poets fell to 9-10 and 4-4.
  • Stags Use Strong Second Half To Win Rivalry Game

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags improved to 4-0 in conference and 8-6 overall with a 68-61 victory over Pomona-Pitzer at Ducey Gymnasium on Wednesday night. CMS scored 40 second half points to pull away after being tied at the half.
  • CMS Beats Occidental In SCIAC Opener
    January 10, 2011
    CMS opened their defense of the last two SCIAC titles with a 57-50 home win over Occidental on Saturday. The win was a total team effort as nine players played at least 10 minutes with all nine scoring. Eight of the nine scored at least five points and no player scored more than nine. The win was the team’s third straight.
  • Men's Basketball Beats Top Ranked Azusa Pacific

    CMS beat Azusa Pacific, the #1 team in the NAIA, 81-79 on Tuesday. The Stags ended the Cougars 42-game winning streak against Division III teams that began after CMS' last win over Azusa Pacific in 1990.
