Senior
Lindsay Eisenman is the top seed in the singles competition, after she won the NCAA Division III singles title a year ago in Claremont. She studied abroad in the fall last year, and last competed in the ITA fall tournaments as a sophomore in 2023, when she won the ITA West Regionals in singles (over teammate Audrey Yoon) and reached the national finals in the ITA Cup.
Doubles will start the action on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., with singles getting underway at 1 p.m. Eisenman and
Rebecca Kong will be the top seed in the doubles field, after Kong reached the NCAA Semifinals last season with the graduated
Alisha Chulani to earn All-America honors. Eisenman has also won the ITA West Regional doubles championships in both seasons she has competed, winning with Gabby Lee in 2022 and
Ella Brissett in 2023, both of whom have graduated.Â
Emily Ing and
Bell Zhou will be the No. 2 seed in doubles, while first-year teams ofÂ
Shifali Dinesh/
Rachel Garton and
Leah Baroudi/
Georgia Garrett will also compete. First-year
Ananya Sriniketh and sophomore
Celestina Cedillo-Vayson de Pradenne will round out the five CMS teams in the 32-team field.Â
In singles, the Athenas will have 10 competitors in the A flight out of 32 in the field, which means CMS vs. CMS match-ups can occur as early as the second round. Kong will be seeded third for CMS, while Ing could face Eisenman in the second round, after the two were doubles partners last year. Â
The two finalists in both singles and doubles will advance to the ITA Cup in two weeks in Rome, Georgia, while the regional champions will clinch ITA All-America honors.Â
