2016 – Started 7 games at Wr and led the team in receptions (39) for 523 yards and 5 touchdowns.
2015 – Started at WR every game and led the team in receptions (30), reception yards (509), and receiving touchdowns (6)…led the SCIAC in yards per catch (17.0)…received CMS’ Student Athlete of the Week award for his instrumental role in the come-from behind win over Occidental in which Smith was able to snag two touchdown passes in 1:29 to give CMS the win. Smith had three of his team-high seven catches in the final two drives. For the afternoon, he caught seven passes for 119 yards, an average of 17 yards per catch, with his longest catch being a 26-yarder.
2014 – Appeared in every game for the Stags and led all freshmen receivers on the team and in the conference in every receiving category. Finished the season with 20 receptions for 303 yards and four touchdowns including a miraculous 63 yard catch against CLU in a 37-30 victory for CMS. Was also a starter on the CMS baseball team where he was 3rd in the SCIAC in homeruns and 6th in stolen bases. Smith was named to D3baseball.com’s Team of the Week for the week of Feb. 9th when he hit .700 in the three games with two home runs, three RBI, four runs scored and three walks.
Off the Field: CMS Baseball Team MVP…2nd Team All-SCIAC Outfielder…led the Stags in batting average (.347), runs (29), doubles (13) and home runs (5)…ranked second and fifth in the SCIAC in triples and homeruns.
Prior To CMS: 2014: First Team All-District Football…Second Team State All-Academic Football Team…First Team All-District Baseball Team…North Texas 5A Baseball All-Star… Varsity Baseball Team MVP.
