On Court: Played at #1 singles position all 4 years at Lake Forest Academy, Team Captain Senior Year, Team MVP Senior Year, All Conference (ISL) at #1 singles both Junior and Senior years...ranked #9 junior in Illinois and #273 nationally according to tennisrecruiting.net...transferred to CMC as a junior from Vanderbilt, after deferring for a year...as a junior spent most of fall battling a right shoulder injury that kept him sidelined for tournament play...returned in the spring healthier, going 4-0 in singles at the #2, #3 and #6 positions, losing a total of six games in four matches...played in two doubles matches (both with Ernie Hayhurst), going 2-0 at the #3 spot...as a senior played singles and doubles (with Mullen) at the USTA / ITA West Regionals, playing in seven matches...competed for a starting position in the spring, earning the job in several important dual matches in February and March...had good wins at #1 against Chapman and at #6 at Point Loma Nazarene...also started against Vassar at #4, and against Bowdoin and Williams at #6...went 5-2 in dual matches and 8-4 overall in singles, while going 1-3 with Mullen at the #3 doubles spot...finished his two year playing career at CMS with a 12-4 singles record and 3-3 doubles record.
