Biography

On Court: Joined the Stags as a transferfrom Colorado University where he was a member of the team...had adistinguished junior tennis career, ranking as high as #59nationally in the USTA Boys 18s...won six rounds at National 18sClays in 2001...as a junior had an impressive falldebut with CMS, reaching the quarterfinals of the ITA WestRegionals in singles, and the semifinals of the doubles with BenHough...ranked #10 in singles and #6 in doubles (with Hough) in theWest Region going into the spring...played #3 and #4 singles andwas an impressive 16-10...partnered Eric Chow and Ben Hough to earna combined doubles record of 20-6 at the #2 and #3 positions...hisconsistent singles and doubles production helped lead the Stags towin the NCAA West Regionals and earn their first trip to the Elite8 in over a decade...as a senior reached thequarterfinals of the ITA West Regionals in singles in thefall...returned in the spring to go 12-8 in singles, primarily atthe #5 and #6 positions...teamed with Lim, Feldhausen, Chow, andHough for a 14-5 record in doubles...career singles record 28-18for a .609 winning percentage...career doubles record 34-11 for awinning percentage of .756 and 8th all-time in Stags TennisHistory...DePaolo will be remembered for his heavy topspin forehandand kick serve, as well as the passion he brought to two verystrong Stags teams.
