Biography

On Court: Joined CMS following a junior careerthat earned him a #32 Boys 18s ranking Texas and #369 nationalranking...also a TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and ParochialSchools) champion in 2002, and finalist in 2001 and2004...as a freshman was 7-5 overall in singles,playing at positions #4-6, and 2-3 in doubles (with StephenWolcott)...best showing of the year was at the Ojai ValleyIndependent College tournament, where he upset #2 seed ChristianGerloff of Point Loma Nazarene in the 1st round...as asophomore prepared for the fall by playing clay courttournaments in France in July with teammates William Ellison andEvan Feldhausen...nearly upset two time defending NCAA champ MattSeeberger in the first round of the ITA West Regionals...posted a4-3 singles record, playing mostly at #5 and #6, anda 2-2 doubles record with Wiener and Chidester...as ajunior saw increased playing time and went 10-4 in singlesplaying at #1, 2, 3 and 5...went 6-3 in doubles with four differentpartners...as a senior had his best ITA WestRegionals tournament of his Stags career, winning two rounds in themain draw of singles, and then partnering Drew Sabater to reach thedoubles final where they lost in three sets to teammates Hough andWang...had a 6-4 record in singles and a 7-3 record in doubles(with Sabater and Berber)...ended his career at CMS with a 27-16singles record (.628) and a 17-11 doubles record (.607).
