On Court: Anall-court player whose strengths included a big serve and bigforehand...came to CMS as a nationally ranked junior and one of thetop Hawaiian 18s players...as a freshman earned astarting position and played #6 singles and #3 doubles (with JohnGoldis)...as a sophomore earned ITAAll-American honors in doubles with partner John MichaelCham-A-Koon, reaching the semifinals of the NCAA individual doublestournament...went 13-10 playing at #4 through #6 singles and 21-8in doubles at #1 doubles...Ellison and Cham-A-Koon were the firstCMS players to win an Ojai title in 10 years...recipient of theMost Improved Player award as voted by histeammates...as a junior took the Fall of 2004 offto study abroad in Salamanca, Spain...returned to play #5 singlesand #2 doubles (with David Oehm) where he went 17-8 and 16-7respectively...finished the season very strong by reaching thequarterfinals of Ojai...was voted Most Valuable Player byhis teammates as a result of his team best win-lossrecord...as a senior played in the ITA WestRegionals in the fall and lost in the second round of singles andsemifinals of the doubles (with David Oehm)...ranked #8 in the westwith Oehm in the Fall 2005 doubles rankings...played doublesexhibition with the Bryan Brothers on Maui over winter break2005...posted a 9-3 singles record playing at #1, #2, #5, and #6,including a six match winning streak between Feb 5 and April14...went 10-3 at the #3 doubles spot with Oehm, including asemifinal run at the Ojai Valley Tournament..finished his careerwith 104 combined singles and doubles wins (104-60) and a careerwinning percentage of .634...played an integral part of three SCIACChampionship Teams, in 2003, 2004, and 2006.
