2019-20 (Senior)
SCIAC Field Athlete of the Week (Feb. 17) ... SCIAC All-Academic Team ... Competed in three meets before the suspension of spring sports ... Won the javelin at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers (190'2"), earning SCIAC Field Athlete of the Week honors, and won it again at a five-team SCIAC Multi-Dual hosted by Whittier (182'6") ... Came in third at the Rossi Relays (187'8") ... Also threw the discus at the SCIAC Multi-Dual, finishing seventh (114'6").
2018-19 (Junior)
SCIAC Champion (javelin) ... USTFCCCA All-West Region (javelin) ... NCAA Qualifier (javelin) ... SCIAC All-Academic Team … USTFCCCA All-Academic selection ... Won the javelin at the SCIAC Championships with a PR of 199 feet even, placing fourth all-time at CMS ... Finished 12th at the NCAA Division III Championships ... Also competed in the discus and shot put at SCIACs, earning a PR in the shot put with a throw of 10.60 meters (34'9.5") ... Won the javelin at the third SCIAC Multi-Dual meet at 173'6" ... Set a PR at the time with a throw of 185' at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, finishing fifth ... Had a PR in the discus at the Rossi Relays with a throw of 105'6" (32.17 meters).
2017-18 (Sophomore)
All-SCIAC (javelin) ... Finished second at the 2018 SCIAC Championships in the javelin with a throw of 54.43 (178'7") to earn All-SCIAC honors ... Had a season-best of 180'8" in the javelin, which he set at home during a SCIAC Multi-Dual.
2016-17 (First-Year)
Came in eighth place at SCIAC Championships in the javelin with a top throw of 153'3" (46.71 meters) ... Won the javelin at the second SCIAC Multi-Dual with a throw of 162'0" (49.38 meters).
Personal
Attending CGU after graduating from Claremont McKenna, where he majored in philosophy, politics and economics ... Interested in pursuing startups and the arts after graduation ... Writing his senior thesis on analyzing the rise and nature of populism through allegory ... Spent the summer (2019) interning in San Francisco at a seed-stage venture capital firm called Tuesday Capital, while also writing poetry and training on the side ... Spent the summer (2018) working as a data and marketing intern for a political media company in Arizona ("I learned a lot, made new friends, and even got to explore the Grand Canyon and Sedona!") ... Involved on campus with CMS Christian Athletes ... Lists "The Idea of Poetry" as his favorite course that he has taken in college ("it allowed me to read some incredible poets with my favorite professor, Leland de la Durantaye, as well as grow in my own creativity as a writer and thinker.").
