Alle Hsu andfellow Athena, Jaclyn Smrecek played #1 Doubles at Sage Hill Schoolduring Hsu's senior year... as afreshman (with CMS) Alle played at #6singles and #3 doubles, playing with various players, Elisa LaCava,Hannah Kornfeld, and Emily Johnston... held a 6-11 record insingles... very first college match was a close 3-setter againstAzusa Pacific University’s #6 player, Lindsey Cloninger 2-6,6-1, 10-5… had a solid singles win against TrinityUniversity (Texas), winning 6-1, 6-2 at #5… indoubles, with LaCava, she held a 5-4 record, with Kornfeld, 5-4record, and a 1-1 record with Johnston... with LaCava, they battledat #3, beating Pomona-Pitzer's #3 team, Chapman's #3 team, and UCSanta Cruz's #3 team... as asophomoreshe improved her singlesrecord going 12-10, with some key matches for the Athenas... at theITA West Regionals, Hsu won a match against All-SCIAC JenniferWahba of Occidental 7-5, 6-4... during the regular season, she alsobeat All-SCIAC Occidental's Marissa Cassman 1-6, 6-4, 7-5... as theAthenas battled that year against the SCIAC teams, during a toughmatch against P-P, she lost in a battle to ITA National DoublesChampion and P-P's Olivia Muesse 6-1, 3-6, 10-5... in doubles, shewent 2-1 with Elisa LaCava, and 14-6 with Caroline Daly...partnering with Caroline Daly, the two came away with a crucial winagainst UT Tyler's #3 Team... as ajunior... Hsu went 9-12 in singles, with toughmatches against P-P, Hardin Simmons, and Redlands... against P-P'sJessica Hsu, she had a career highlight match, going down 7-5, 5-7,10-5... won the deciding match against Hardin Simmon's #4 BrittanyBrazell, 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 as the deciding match... Hsu came away withone of the only a couple team wins against Redland'sSutton Anderson, winning 6-3, 6-1... in doubles, Hsu paired withCaroline Daly, Katie Lorish, and Hannah Gordon... with Daly, theywent 5-4. Hsu and Daly came away with a win against Westmont,winning 8-1... with Lorish, they came away with a win againstWhitworth's #2 doubles team, winning 9-7... thisseason... Hsu is very excited about the Athenas thisyear and hopes to focus on helping and leading her team to a verysuccessful season.

Personal: Has great passion for filmand photography and is also very interested in Chinese culture,society, and the country's development...is the unofficialphotographer for the women’s and men’s tennis teams...was the CMS Media Manager with the organizing and host team for theNCAA Division III Men's National Tennis Championships held at CMSin 2009... In 2010, Hsu was also awarded the Gerry LahanasLeadership Award... Has trained with ATP pro Nenad Toroman,well-known professional coach, Robert Van’t Hof, former coachfor men's tennis team at UCI, Dick Bohrnstedt, and also SteveKronseder, a former assistant women's tennis coach for the AthenasTennis Team. Favorite WTA player is Lindsay Davenport andfavorite ATP players are Federer, Djokovic, and Roddick... playedbasketball and swam in middle school. Was an avid pianist andalso a Girl Scout before her college years... and only child anddaughter of Tony and Lily.

Worst Haircut and When: In 7th or 8thgrade, Alle cut her hair really short to the length right aroundher earlobes. However, Alle's hair was/is really frizzy, so itreally puffed out. Didn't look good with the goofy glasses at thattime.
Describe Your Perfect Day: A perfect dayfor Hsu would be spending quality time with friends, family,sharing love, happiness, and good food. It would start off wakingup in the mid-morning with a nice non-fat white-chocolate mocha,orange juice, fruit and some eggs. The day (being at school) wouldconsist of one or two classes in Media or Asian Studies, tennispractice with the Athenas, good cafeteria meals at the ClaremontColleges, such as a lunch at Pitzer, a dinner anywhere on campus,periods of high productivity, a shower, watching a movie, and somequality sleep time!
