Attended Del Oro High School, where he was a member of the football team ... A three-year varsity starter ... A two-time Del Oro lineman of the year ... Earned second-team all-metro honors ... Helped Del Oro to the San Joaquin Section Championship, the Nor Cal Championship, and a runner-up finish in the CIF D1-AA State Championships in 2018 ... Also competed on the wrestling team, defeating the 28th-ranked heavyweight wrestler in California in his last high school wrestling dual. Competed on the swimming and track and field teams during high school as well ... Magna Cum Laude and honor roll student ... Was secretary/treasurer of the Del Oro Finance Club, on the mock trial team, and a member of the California Scholarship Federation.
