On Court: ...5-Star recruit on TennisRecruiting.net who ranked as high as No. 64 in his class nationally...played four years of high school tennis at Valencia HS, reaching the CIF Doubles final as a junior and then winning the prestigious Ojai tournament as a senior, both with teammate Warren Pham...2022-2023: made one of the most auspicious debuts of a Stags Tennis first year player in recent years by winning his first nine singles matches and capturing the ITA D3 West Regionals and the ITA Cup in Rome, GA...as a result, Mareedu earned the No. 1 singles ranking in Division III nationally and in the West, and became an ITA All-American in his first semester of college tennis...he returned in the spring as the Stags No. 1 singles player and shared time at No. 1 doubles with Christian Settles...defeated two Division II players in straight sets at No. 1 in his dual match double-header debut on Feb 11, and then paired with Settles for a doubles win at No. 1...suffered his first two losses in D3 at the ITA D3 National Team Indoors, to Pomona-Pitzer's Hayden Snyder and Case Western's James Hopper, but then lost only three D3 dual matches for the remainder of the season, while avenging losses to both Snyder and eventual NCAA singles champion Rishabh Sharda of Tufts...Mareedu was also 4-0 without the loss of a set against D2 opponents at No. 1 singles...completed 2023 with records of 30-6 in singles and 19-13 in doubles, settling in at No. 3 doubles with roommate and high school partner Warren Pham to win 13 of their final 16 matches as a team...Mareedu's 30-6 singles record is 8th best in program history and equals the debut season of Niko Parodi in 2018...Mareedu was a consensus SCIAC Athlete of the Year and SCIAC Newcomer of the Year selection in addition to his 1st Team All-SCIAC distinction and earning the HMC Athlete of the Year...he also earned the ITA Rookie of the Year award at the national level and in West, while finishing 2023 with singles rankings of No. 1 in the West and No. 6 nationally…2023-2024: picked up almost exactly where he left off by defending his ITA West Regionals singles title and advancing to the ITA Cup Division III Fall Nationals, where he won one of three matches…finished the Fall as the No. 1 ranked singles player In the West and No. 9 nationally, while earning his second ITA All-American honor in as many years…continued his elite level of play into the dual match segment, repeating each and every feat from his first year…played at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles (with Pham, Reddy, and Kim) with overall records of 30-6 in singles and 20-15 in doubles…had a streak of 18 consecutive singles matches without a loss from March 16 to May 21…of his three D3 singles dual match losses (to Emory, Bowdoin, and Tufts), Mareedu beat two of three at other times during the season…most prominent of these was his 6-1, 6-3 loss on his home courts to Bowdoin’s Tristan Bradley on March 16, which he avenged in a dramatic 6-7(5), 7-6(1), 6-4 win to clinch a team NCAA semifinal victory over Bowdoin…with Josh Kim at No. 2 doubles, went 11-3 in final 14 matches of the season and post-season…finished 2024 with rankings of No. 1 in the West Region and No. 3 nationally in singles…voted Most Improved Player by his teammates, while earning SCIAC Athlete of the Year, 1st Team All-SCIAC and HMC Athlete of the Year honors for the second consecutive season…also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete and 1st Team Academic All-American honors...2024-2025: orchestrated one of the greatest seasons in Division III tennis history, beginning with singles titles at the ITA West Regionals and ITA Cup, and culminating with an NCAA singles title...began the fall segment by winning his third consecutive ITA West Regional singles title, becoming the first Stag to win three ITA Regionals, and then winning his second ITA Cup singles title in three years, also a first in Stags Tennis history...his 9-0 fall singles record came with the loss of only one set, a tie-breaker in the second set of the ITA Cup semifinals...he earned the No. 1 ITA singles ranking on Nov 13, and would not relinquish it all season...Mareedu's dominance continued into the spring segment as the Stags' No. 1 singles player and No. 2 doubles pair (with Josh Kim), not dropping a set in CMS' first ever ITA National Team Indoor title...a week later he faced his only D1 opponent of the year, and defeated Bucknell's Patriot League Player of the Year Amir Tahirovic in straight sets...Mareedu lost his first dual match set of the season on March 29 (to Caltech's Cedillo), and then suffered his only loss of the season on April 8 at Westmont 2-6, 7-6(4), 7-6(6), despite having two match points and a 4-0 lead in the third set...Mareedu then only dropped two more singles sets the rest of the season, including 20-0 in sets during the NCAA team and individual tournament...he finishes 2025 41-1 as the seventh NCAA singles champion in Stags Tennis history...he and Kim were 24-8 in doubles at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, earning year-end rankings of No. 2 and No. 8 in the West and nationally in doubles, and No. 1 regionally and nationally in singles...in addition to earning ITA All-American honors in singles and doubles, Mareedu was named SCIAC Athlete of the Year, HMC Athlete of the Year (for the third time), CMS Athlete of the Year, CMS Team Most Valuable Player, as well as CSC Academic All-American Team Member of the Year, and an ITA Scholar-Athlete.

Personal: Only child of Radhika and Saha Mareedu...big basketball and Los Angeles Lakers fan...enjoys long drives and road trips with friends...also loves Korean BBQ and jogging just for fun.
