Attended Denver East High School, where she ran cross country ... Four-time Cross Country State Qualifier, Three-time First Team All Conference, 3rd fastest 5k in school history and 2nd fastest 3200 ... Helped her team finish top 10 in Colorado Class 5A State four years straight ... Academic accolades include Academic Honor Roll (fall and spring), Academic All State (junior and senior year), Awarded two silver keys for the Scholastic Art Awards ... Community service includes being an apprentice for a well respected Chicano muralist, Practiced/volunteered with Denver Urban XC, Vice president of Latino Students United club at Denver East HS.
