Katelyn Shooter enters her first year as the director of recreation at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in 2026-27.
Shooter joins CMS after working locally in Claremont for the past nine years at Orangetheory Fitness, most recently serving as the store operations manager since 2023 after beginning as a sales associate.
In her store manager role, Shooter led all studio operations, including sales performance, staffing, scheduling, and customer experience. She also helped drive membership growth through strategic outreach, while also hiring, train, and developing team members.
While at Orangetheory, Shooter increased monthly membership sales through targeted campaigns and improved conversion strategies. She also executed community marketing events and local partnerships to expand brand presence.
In addition to her work with Orangetheory, Shooter also worked as a personal trainer and as a self-employed group fitness instructor, leading a variety of group fitness classes, including HIIT style outdoor training.
Shooter holds a degree in business marketing, with courses in digital marking and social media strategy, as well as health, wellness and client engagement.Â
