Logan Soforenko

Logan Soforenko enters his second year at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps as the Athletic Communications Manager. He serves as the play-by-play voice of Stags basketball, football, and baseball, as well as a broadcast producer and graphic designer. He also oversees on-air talent, which includes more than 20 student broadcasters. In addition, he manages social media content for the CMS Instagram page while serving as the lead graphic designer and video content producer. Soforenko works closely with student designers and coordinates with Alluvium Sports Consulting LLC on various CMS projects.

Soforenko joined the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps athletic department prior to the 2024–25 academic year. In his rookie season, he served as the primary play-by-play broadcaster and producer for Athenas Volleyball, Stags Basketball, Stags Baseball, and Athenas Water Polo. He designed broadcast graphics, cued replays, and connected all broadcast feeds to FloSports. In November 2024, he became the primary creative lead and manager for the CMS Instagram page. He traveled to five states to provide road coverage of select CMS teams during NCAA Tournaments.

A 2024 graduate of California Lutheran University, Soforenko earned a double major in sports communication and theatre arts. As a student, he oversaw all live streaming for the Kingsmen and Regals through the media services department while also serving as the play-by-play broadcaster. During his time at CLU, he produced the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Regionals and four SCIAC Tournaments in men’s basketball, baseball, and women’s volleyball. He also took the Cal Lutheran live-stream setup on the road for the 2023 SCIAC Baseball Tournament.

Outside of CMS, Soforenko is one of the in-arena hosts for the Ontario Reign, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, and also emcees select events for the Kings. In the summer of 2022, he served as a broadcaster for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League, and in December 2022, he became the first-ever public address announcer for the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the AHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken.

A native of North Hollywood, Soforenko began working in sports as a public address announcer in high school at Village Christian School in Sun Valley, California, where he announced three CIF-SS Championship games. 

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, and is an avid Boston sports fan.
