Logan Soforenko enters his second year at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps as the Athletic Communications Manager, where he will oversee the department's broadcasting and video streaming production as it transitions to FloSports, as well as manage the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps social media pages.
Soforenko joined the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps athletic department prior to the 2024–25 academic year. In his rookie season, he served as the main play-by-play broadcaster and producer for Athenas Volleyball, Stags Basketball, Stags Baseball, and Athenas Water Polo. He also designed broadcast graphics, cued up replays, and connected all broadcast feeds to FloSports. In November 2024, he became the primary creative lead and manager for the CMS Instagram page. Soforenko traveled to five states to provide road coverage of select CMS teams during NCAA Tournaments.
A 2024 graduate of California Lutheran University, Soforenko earned a double major in sports communication and theatre arts. As a student, he oversaw all live streaming for the Kingsmen and Regals through the media services department while also serving as the play-by-play broadcaster. While at CLU, he produced the 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Regionals and four SCIAC Tournaments in men’s basketball, baseball, and women’s volleyball. He also took the Cal Lutheran live-stream setup on the road for the 2023 SCIAC Baseball Tournament.
Outside of CMS, Soforenko is one of the in-arena hosts for the Ontario Reign, the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, and also emcees select events for the Kings. In the summer of 2022, he served as a broadcaster for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League, and in December 2022, he was the first-ever public address announcer for the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the AHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken.
Soforenko began working in sports as a public address announcer in high school at Village Christian School in Sun Valley, California, where he announced three CIF-SS Championship games.
