Matthew Jager begins his first season at CMS in the role of sport operations and equipment manager in 2026-27.
Jager is a familiar face around CMS, after working in a part-time role in games management for the last three years, as well as serving as an assistant coach with the football program in 2023-24.
In his role with games management, Jager facilitated athletic event setup and break down, while training and overseeing student workers; assisting with compliance, and coordinating operational logistics to ensure safety and success of athletic events. He also served as the primary liaison for visiting teams, officials, and event personnel to ensure operational needs are met in a timely manner.
In addition to his experience at CMS, Jager has also worked as a special education aide at Summit High School for four years, where he was also a football coach, leading instruction for the offensive and defensive lines. He then took a role as a special education teacher at Alder Middle School, before relocating to Claremont.
Jager earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from California Baptist University in 2019, before adding a master's degree in education from Redlands in 2021.
