CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team will serve as one of four hosts for the 2023 Gary Troyer Memorial Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Axelrood Pool.
Axelrood will host six games on Friday and six on Saturday, among the 44 total that will be held at Pomona-Pitzer, CMS, La Verne and Occidental. A total of 25 teams will participate, including all nine SCIAC schools and seven NCAA Division I institutions.
CMS, ranked No. 1 in Division III, will face three of the Division I schools participating, including Pepperdine, which is ranked No. 4 in the Division I poll (Saturday, 3:40 p.m.), No. 10 Pacific (Friday, 1:40 p.m.) and Wagner (Friday, 5:40 p.m.), while also meeting Westcliff on Saturday at 10:20 a.m. (a recent schedule change after the Stags were originally slated to play at 11:40 a.m.).
