CMS now has an 11-3-2 record overall and is 7-3-1 in league play. The Stags, who could have leapfrogged into first place with a win, falls out of contention for the regular season title with the loss, but still can secure the second seed with a home win on Wednesday in its league finale against Cal Lutheran.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes,
Alex Sondergaard scored his first goal of the season 5:21 into the second half when he headed in a cross from
James Gomez , with

CMS closes out the regular season with two home games this week, its SCIAC finale on Wednesday against Cal Lutheran and a non-conference game on Saturday against UC Santa Cruz at noon, which will also be the program's Senior Day.
