AZUSA, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's swimming and diving team took a 140-99 win over Azusa Pacific, while dropping a 143-100 decision to Biola in a double dual hosted by Azusa Pacific on Saturday.
Revere Schmidt won the 1000-yard freestyle for the Athenas in 10:43.91 for the first individual win of the day for CMS, and also swam in the 400 IM and earned a 4:41.52 to come in fourth.
Deanna Wen was the winner in the 100 free for the Athenas in 53.31, edging Sydnee Wilson of Azusa Pacific in 53.50.
Avalon Sanders earned first place in the 500 free in 5:08.00, and then came in second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.74.
The diving events were held at Axelrood Pool, and first-year
Simone Sabeeh swept both boards with 250.05 on the three-meter, and 246.60 on the one-meter. Josephine Kearns was second on the one-meter with 226.10.
CMS will be back in action when it opens SCIAC play next weekend at Chapman.
