CLAREMONT, Calif. -
Samuel Brewer of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps football team earned the SCIAC Special Teams Player of the Week honor for games through Saturday, Nov. 8, the conference office announced today.
Brewer was 4-4 on extra points, and averaged 38 yards on six punts, placing four inside the 20-yard line, as CMS picked up a 28-14 road win over Redlands. He had two of his punts downed on the three-yard line, including a 63-yarder in the first quarter. He also had a fourth-quarter punt with 4:15 left downed on the three, to help CMS seal the win.
It marks the second time this season that Brewer has won the Special Teams Player of the Week Award, and the fourth time in his career.
George Kruger and
Michael Houk have also won the Defensive Player of the Week for the Stags this season.
CMS will close out the 2025 season with a home game against La Verne on Saturday at 1 p.m.
