Box Score REDLANDS, Calif. - The second-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's tennis team earned the doubles point via tiebreaker and went on to capture a 6-1 win over No. 23 Redlands on Tuesday evening.

With the win, CMS now stands at 12-1 on the year, and 2-0 in the SCIAC. Redlands falls to 4-8 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Lindsay Eisenman and Emily Ing earned a 7-2 tiebreaker win at No. 2 doubles, after Muduo Zhou and Ella Brissett earned a 6-3 win at No. 3. The doubles point proved to be big as three different courts in singles went to three sets, but the Athenas were able to earn three dominant straight-set victories and never put the team result in doubt.

Rebecca Kong had a shutout effort at No. 3 singles, earning a 6-0, 6-0 win, and Ing added a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6. Alisha Chulani wrapped up the team win with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2 to make the score 4-0.

Muduo Zhou dominated her third set to earn a 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 win at No. 4, and Celestina Cedillo-Vayson de Pradenne added the sixth and final point for CMS with a 6-1, 5-7, 10-4 win at No. 5.

CMS will be back in action on Saturday to take on Occidental, which will also be Senior Day for Alisha Chulani and Ella Brissett, who were part of two national championship teams in their first two seasons.
