Nick Kennedy of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team earned the SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for games through Sunday, Sept. 7, the SCIAC office announced today.
Kennedy had a huge opening week, tallying 17 goals and 13 assists in four games as CMS went 3-1 at the Inland Empire Classic. He had 10 goals and 10 assists in the Saturday doubleheader alone, scoring a career high eight-goals and adding three assists in an 18-12 win over Concordia, for a career-high 11 points, and following with two goals and a career-high seven assists in a 22-12 win over Iona.
On Saturday, Kennedy also had four goals and two assists in a win over Biola, and added three goals and an assist in a loss to No. 13 UC San Diego, a strong seven-goal, three-assist day, which he one-upped with a 10-goal, 10-assist day on Saturday.
CMS will be back in action on Sunday when it hosts Harvard for a 10 a.m. contest.
