CLAREMONT, Calif. - Henry Wilson of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's tennis team earned the SCIAC Athlete of the Week Award for events through Sunday, Feb. 22, the conference office announced today. 

Wilson was the lone Stag to go 3-0 in singles as CMS took the championship at the ITA Indoor Nationals this weekend with wins over No. 8 Swarthmore, No. 5 Case Western and No. 2 Chicago.

Wilson's three-setter against Swarthmore tied the match at 1-1 as he took a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win. He then won 6-3, 6-2 against Case Western to put the Stags up 2-1, and gave the Stags their third point in the Chicago win with a 6-4, 6-1 victory. 

CMS will be back in action this weekend, when it hosts UC Santa Cruz at 9 a.m., and Ventura College at 3 p.m. at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.
