CLAREMONT, Calif. - Junior guard
Will Householter of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's basketball team earned second-team all-district honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the organization announced today.
Householter joined first-team selection Lucas Gordon of Redlands and second-team selection Cruz Billings of Chapman on the 10-player all-district team. It was his second honor in as many days, after also winning all-region honors from D3hoops.com yesterday (along with
Reid Jones).
Householter started every game and helped the Stags to a 23-5 record and an appearance in the NCAA Regionals, where they advanced to the second round.
In addition to his regional honors, Householter was also a first-team All-SCIAC selection after leading CMS in scoring at 18.8 points per game, and going over the 1000 point plateau for his career (1016) at the NCAA Regionals. His season included a 32-point night in a win over Chapman, and a 29-point performance in a home win over Linfield.
The Stags broke the program record for best start to a season, opening up the year 16-0, and reached the NCAA Tournament for the third season in a row for the first time in program history.
