CLAREMONT, Calif. -
Simone Sabeeh earned a qualification to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships following her performance at the NCAA Regional qualifiers in Emory this past weekend.
Sabeeh earned fifth place in the one-meter on Friday with a score of 415.50, moving up from sixth to fifth on her final dive. On Saturday, Sabeeh finished sixth in the three-meter with 414.30 points, just .65 out of fifth.
The same divers finished in the top four on both boards, which left Sabeeh fifth in line for qualifications out of the region, and a total of six divers were chosen from the region.
Sabeeh becomes the eighth member of the Athenas to earn a ticket to the NCAA Championships. Senior swimmers

Madeleine Kan,
Mackenzie Mayfield,
Annika Sharma and
Katy Shaw will attend nationals in their final collegiate seasons, while sophomore
Avalon Sanders and first-year
Elyse Newlands will also represent Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
The NCAA Division III Championships will take place from March 18-21 in Indianapolis.
