CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's water polo team honored its eight seniors prior to the contest, and went on to take an 18-5 win over Caltech on Saturday at Axelrood Pool.
With the win, CMS improves to 12-10 on the season and 8-1 in the SCIAC, while Caltech slips to 1-13 overall and 0-9 in league play.

Caitlin Muñoz were honored for their Senior Day. All six active players contributed offensively, including goalies
Natalie Stearns (two goals) and
Mason Spencer (one goal) who combined for a hat trick while playing in the field.
Clark had a team-high in points with three goals and two assists, Munoz had a team-high four assists, Murphy had her first career hat trick, and Del Villar scored a goal and played the fourth quarter in net.
It took almost six minutes for CMS to get on the board, before
Tatum Dwyer broke the ice with the first of her three goals. Clark gave CMS a 2-1 lead at the end of the first quarter, before CMS scored six straight goals to start the second and take control.
Murphy put CMS ahead 3-1 with the first of her three goals, and Spencer scored as a field player for the first time in her career. Del Villar found the net,
Valerie Wraith scored the first of her three, and Clark and
Christina Marlow capped off the Athena scoring in the first half to make it 8-2 at the break.
Dwyer scored twice in the third, and Stearns beat the clock with a goal with six seconds left.
Grace Rich scored to start the fourth, which was followed by two straight goals from Murphy to finish off her hat trick.
CMS will be back in action when it faces Chapman on the road on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
