2023 season (Senior)
SCIAC All-Academic Team ... Appeared in 38 games at CMS as the starting catcher ... Hit .293 with a .466 on-base percentage, to go along with 33 runs scored and 19 RBI ... Recorded four doubles, four triples and three homers on the year for 34 total hits ... Finished a season-best 4-for-4, tallying two runs scored and three RBI in a 16-4 win over Gustavus Adolphus ... Hit a three RBI homer in a 7-6 win over Redlands ... Added two hits, one RBI and one stolen base in a 8-7 win over Caltech. 

2022 season (Junior)
SCIAC All-Academic Team ... Appeared in 21 games CMS ... Hit .276 with a .488 on-base percentage, to go along with 20 runs scored and 13 RBI ... Recorded one double and two homers on the year for 16 total hits ... Finished 3-for-5 with a homer, tallying three runs scored and three RBI in a 14-4 win over George Fox ...  Finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and one RBI in a 14-6 win over Chapman ... Added two hits and three RBI in a 17-5 win at Whittier. 

2021 season (Sophomore)
SCIAC All-Academic Team ... Stags did not compete due to COVID-19.

2020 season (First-Year)
SCIAC All-Academic Team ... Hit .444 in a shortened season (8-18), to go along with four RBI and three stolen bases ... Was 3-for-4 with three RBI in his debut, a win over Lewis & Clark ... Batted 2-for-4 with two stolen bases against nationally ranked Cal Lutheran ... Was 2-for-5 in a series with Redlands ... Hit 1-for-2 with two runs scored against Whitman. 

Prior to CMS
Attended Lakeside High School, where he was a four-year varsity letter winner... Three-year starting catcher... Junior year led the league in doubles and named first-team all-league catcher... Senior year team captain and posted a .500 OBP and 10 steals... Named first-team all-league and All-State catcher... Set school HBP record... Three state bids and an undefeated 15-0 2019 regular season... Also played for City Baseball...  Volunteered at Books To Prisoners.

Attends Claremont McKenna, where he majors in economics ... Father, John DeForest, was a member of the track and cross country teams at Yale... Favorite Book/Author: Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline.
