Attended Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California, where he was a member of the football team .. Threw for 3541 yards as a senior (321.9 per game), ranking first in the North Coast Section and 12th in the state of California, to go with 42 touchdowns and only six interceptions ... Earned Marin County Athletic League (MCAL) first team honors.
