CLAREMONT, Calif. - Lindsay Eisenman and Rebecca Kong enter the 2026 spring season as the No. 1 ranked doubles team in the nation for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's tennis team, while Kong heads into the spring as the No. 2 ranked player in singles according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. 

Eisenman and Kong won the ITA Cup doubles title in the fall to earn the No. 1 spot, while Kong reached the finals in singles before falling to Matia Cristiani of Babson, who holds the No. 1 spot. 

Ananya Sriniketh holds down the No. 4 ranking in the nation in singles after reaching the ITA West Regional finals against Kong and then advancing to the ITA Cup semifinals. Shifali Dinesh also is in the first national rankings in singles at No. 23, while Emily Ing places No. 37. 

Eisenman is the defending NCAA national champion in singles, but fell to Ing (her doubles partner last season) in the ITA West Regionals. By winning the ITA Cup doubles championship with Kong, Eisenman has now won a national team title (with the Athenas in 2023 as a first-year), a national singles title (NCAA singles championship last year) and a national doubles title (ITA Cup doubles championship this year). 

Kong and Sriniketh rank 1-2 in the region in singles, with Dinesh holding down the No. 6 spot in the West. Ing places 10th, Bell Zhou 13th, Rachel Garton 16th and Eisenman 17th, giving CMS seven of the top 20 singles players in the West. Zhou and Ing place eighth in the region in doubles, with Dinesh and Garton one spot behind in ninth. 

CMS reached the NCAA quarterfinals last year and will look to make another deep tournament run this spring.
