CLAREMONT, Calif. - Caroline Pratt had 13 saves in three quarters and allowed only one goal as the Williams women's lacrosse team was able to come away with a 15-2 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Monday night at Zinda Field.
With the win, Williams moves to 3-3 on the season, while CMS slips to 4-5.
Shots were only 32-21 in Williams' favor, but Pratt was able to stop 13 of them, several from point-blank range, and reserve goalie Charlotte Cote added two more in the fourth quarter.
Ella Brown and
Grace Minturn had the two goals for CMS.
Julia Ryan had 12 draw controls for the Athenas, to continue to lead the nation in that category, after coming in averaging 19.8 (nine more than the player in second place).
Chloe Klein led the defense with three caused turnovers, while
Taylor Daetz had two and two ground balls.
CMS will be back in action on Wednesday night for another non-conference game against George Fox, beginning at 7 p.m.
