Maggie Griffis scored five goals and had three assists, and
Grace Minturn recorded her 100th career goal, as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's lacrosse team earned a 24-1 road win over Whittier on Saturday.
With the win, CMS moves to 4-3 on the season and 4-1 in the SCIAC, with all three losses coming to teams in the national rankings.
Grace Minturn had three goals and four assists, and
Ella Brown had a hat trick, while
Lily Bishop,
Maya Mihara,
Amelia Ulmer,
Sarah Press and
Kate Larson each had two goals.
Hannah Conte had a goal and four assists.
Julia Ryan had 13 draw controls and
Chloe Klein had a team-high three caused turnovers.
Minturn went over 100 career goals, hitting the century mark with her first one of the day before finishing with 102. She had 50 goals last year as a sophomore, earning the SCIAC Offensive Player of the Year Award.
CMS will be back in action in 10 days when it takes on its fourth ranked team of the season, entertaining Trinity College at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18.
