Grace Minturn Earns SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors for Athenas Lacrosse

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Grace Minturn of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's lacrosse team earned the SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week Award for games through Sunday, April 27, the conference office announced today.

Minturn had a career-high 10 points on seven goals and three assists as the Athenas captured the No. 2 seed with a 22-7 win over third-place Redlands on Thursday. Her seven goals were also a career high, surpassing the five she had earlier this season in a win over George Fox. The 10 points eclipsed her previous best of seven, which she had with three goals and four assists earlier this year against Whittier.

Minturn also had two goals and two assists in the rematch with Whittier this week, giving her 14 points (nine goals, five assists) in a pair of SCIAC wins.

CMS will be back in action on Wednesday night when it faces Redlands again in the SCIAC Semifinals, beginning at 7 p.m.
