SAN DIEGO, Calif. -
Josephine Jett ran a 14.28 in the 100-meter hurdles to take two-hundredths of a second off of her own Claremont-Mudd-Scripps record to highlight the performance of the Athenas track and field team at the Triton Invitational, hosted by UC San Diego on Friday and Saturday.

Sydney Behrens ran a 48.04 in the 4x100 relay to move up to seventh in CMS history as well.
Jett broke the old CMS record of 14.36 with a 14.30 at Burns Track Complex earlier this season, and took another two-hundredths off with her 14.28, which also moves her up into a tie for seventh in NCAA Division III this season.
Sara Wexler finished 10th out of 84 runners in the 1500 meters with a 4:43.15, while
Olivia Backholm was 12th in 4:43.63,
Jie Yi Denise Chen was 14th in 4:44.18 and
Jamie Habib 15th with a 4:44.71.
Madeline Seifert earned a sixth-place finish out of 22 in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.65 meters (11'11.75").
Mia Voce was 11th out of 68 runners in the 800 meters with a 2:18.44.
Simone Rogers tied for 10th in the high jump at 1.57 meters (5'1.75").
CMS will be back in action on Saturday at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
