CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's track and field team had 18 student-athletes earn All-Region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced last week.
Josephine Jett led the way by earning All-Region distinction in four different events (100 meters, 200 meters, 100 hurdles, 4x100 relay).
Riley Capuano captured it in three events (800 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 meters) and five others earned it in two events:
Kaitlyn Creighton (400 hurdles, 4x100 relay),
Hope Dragseth (5000 meters, 10000 meters),
Elle Marsyla (5000 meters, 10000 meters),
Emily Ortiz (hammer, discus), and
Shriya Velichala (400 hurdles, 4x100 relay).

Sophia Laudi, Catherine Novy,
Brannan Rosenfeld,
Revere Schmidt,
Madeline Seifert,
Lorrell Shiely,
Quinn Smith, and
Luna Young were also recognized on the all-region teams.
The Athenas ended the 2025-26 season by coming in sixth place at the NCAA Division III Championships, led by a national title in the 10000 meters from Marsyla. In addition to her title, Marsyla also came in second in the 5000 meters, while Jett was the runner up in the 100 hurdles, and a first-team All-America honoree in the 100 meters.
